Crossword Puzzle Question
Oct 13, 2018
Hi everyone, I am new to Storyline 360 and am trying to build a crossword as a review activity for a course I'm developing. Right now, I have a text entry field for each letter in the crossword and conditions built with the trigger so that when the learner fills in the letters correctly - a Correct Layer pops up letting the user know. If they enter any incorrect letters, -- an Incorrect Layer pops up letting the user know, however, they have no indicator as to where they went wrong. I've seen samples where once you click "submit", the fields that were entered incorrectly turn red. I assume this has to do with setting up states, but I've no idea how to do this or how difficult it may be.
Any help on how I might do this is appreciated! I've attached my Story file of the crossword so you can see how I have it set up now. Thank you!

Hi pamela ,
I have added state with caption shape for text entry 29(text entry c2), when user give wrong answer , that particular box will get highlight with red . Once user try to click on keep continue, the caption go off. Every which are wrong entry that letters also disappear. I hope it may help you. PFA.
So I see where you added the caption and the state with the red if the learner types in the wrong answer, but how do you tie the state to the specific text entry field?
