Sounds like you may be using a button, or similar object. Here's some information on a standard button's states:
Normal: This is the "untouched" normal state for the object.
Hover: This is how the object will appear when a user hovers their mouse over the object.
Down: This is how the object will appear when a user is actively clicking down on the object.
Visited: This is the state for the object when it's been clicked and generally it displays when a user navigates away from the slide containing the content, then back to the slide with the object.
Disabled: If you use this state, the object will appear, but the user will not be able to interact with the object.
