Customized feedback on blank slide

Apr 18, 2013

Hi all,

I've run into a snag in creating a project.  What I'm trying to do is create a "summary" slide at the end of my project that would show the choices the participant selected through the module and provide some further feedback on the results of their selections.

What I've done in the actual project is set up true/false variables on each decision slide, with the selection the participant makes changing one of them to "true."  Then on my summary slide I tried to set up triggers for the appropriate feedback to show when the timeline started and the particular variable was set to true.  However, so the don't all show up on the summary slide at once, I also have a trigger for each feedback item to be hidden when the timeline starts.  I was hoping that the trigger to change to normal when timeline starts & variable = true would set it so the feedback based on their selection earlier in the module would show.  Now though, none of the feedback shows.

I'm attaching a simplified version...on the sample when the user clicks one of the 2 choices, the button takes them to the next slide where the feedback (answer for choice ___) would, ideally, show.  I'm sure I'm missing something simple here but I just can't seem to drill down to the solution.

Any ideas are appreciated!

Thanks,

Adam

Hey Adam,

Really like this idea. A quick suggestion and a way of avoiding extra triggers.

On the summary slide your first two triggers change the state of the text boxes to hidden. Instead, you can click on the States tab in the timeline, then click on each text box and set it initial state to hidden. I've done it on the first one and you can see what I"m referring to in the screen shot below.

Just a thought! It's always nice to remove extra triggers from the triggers pane.
