I've used Studio '09, and am switching over to Storyline. In Quizmaker, we could set the default point value of questions (for us it's 1 instead of 10), and that we don't want answers to shuffle randomly. Is there such a setting in the Question Bank?
I mean when I set up a new question in the question bank (multiple choice or multiple response), one of the options is to shuffle answers or none. I want to set the default to none (this was an option in Quizmaker).
Hopefully I'm wrong here but I don't think you can set that like you can in Quizmaker.
What you could do instead, I believe, is create your own question template with all the question types and the default question settings and scores that you want. You may have to have some placeholder questions and answers.
Then use that (import a question from your template) into your Storyline project when you needed to add a quiz question. Then if I needed the functionality of question banks, after creating my questions, I'd then create a new bank and import your created questions in.
I've not tried this but I think it could work . . .
Thanks for your quick reply. I asked my question wrong. :)
I know how to change individual question properties, but Quizmaker has the ability to set the Default so all further questions created follow a desired pattern.
My questions is where in Storyline 360 is that default functionality?
If it doesn't exist, please fix in the next update. Its about efficiency, not possibility.

I'm still not 100% clear on the default settings you'd like to see - so perhaps you have a screenshot you could share? Also, if you'd like you can share details with our team here too.
I think this is the same question I was interested in having answered. Basically, in Storyline (I'm using 360), the only way I can see to change the shuffling of answers and the point value of each question is to modify each question, one at a time.
Is there a way to adjust the properties for all the questions in the bank at once, for example, set all questions to be worth 5 points instead of 10? Or turn off answer shuffling? This seems like a setting that should automatically be included somewhere, especially with a question bank feature.
I can see where you're coming from! For now, you'll want to adjust those settings question-by-question. If we add a new feature that allows you to change those settings for all questions, we'll let you know!
When importing questions from an xlsx file, I never see an option to modify the settings. It always imports with some sort of default font, size, and always Feedback = By Question.
Now, I have to go to each question individually and make the changes. When there are 25+ questions, it takes a long time.
We need an option to make these changes as we import them.
Thanks for checking in! Feedback is still selected per question slide and isn't a bulk change. I'm happy to bring this back up with my team and determine if it's a feature we'd consider adding to our current roadmap. I'll keep you updated in this discussion!
Yes, please bring this back up. I just spent 2 hours going through 10 question banks and adjusting each question individually. It was painful to say the least. Even when I tried to select them all and go into the design area, none of the changes were saved. It's a pity that this hasn't gotten addressed even after 3 years.

Hi!
Yes for randomness. When you view the slide draw of a question bank, you can click to draw questions randomly or not: http://community.articulate.com/tutorials/products/drawing-from-question-banks.aspx

These were the options in Quizmaker...
I suppose I could create all my quizzes in quizmaker first, but that is a bit of an extra step?
Thanks for the clarification.

I see this post was last addressed 6 years ago. Has this been improved for Storyline 360?
How can we set the default to Not shuffle answers?
Hello Jeff and welcome to E-Learning Heroes :)
As you're building your quiz, you get to set all of the properties for each question in the question editor as you add your graded questions.
We have some documentation here specific to shuffling those choices if needed, or if not of course :)
