I am a newbie. I am trying to use "Next" and "Previous" slide buttons, but I want to have them inactive for a period of time (8 seconds or so) to ensure that folks can't just click through to the end. Can I do this? Thanks!
Change state of Previous button to 'Disabled' when timeline starts on xx slide.
Change state of Previous button to 'Normal' when timeline reaches 8 seconds (or you can set a cue point on the timeline at 8 secs - just click the 'C' on your keyboard at the 8 sec mark on the timeline and it will create a cuepoint - then you can use the trigger when timeline reaches Cuepoint 1.
Repeat the above for the Next button.
Trigger order is important (article) so make sure you have the two 'disable' triggers before the 'normal' triggers.
Here is a tutorial about working with the timeline
