Download Character Bundle

I saw a great discussion on how to install the character bundle. https://articulate.com/support/article/how-to-install-character-packs-and-bundles

I have two questions. One is what is the character bundle for? I have a license for it but have never used it. I just upgraded to Storyline 3, is this something I can use there?

2. Where can I download it from?

Thanks

Hello Gregorio!

I'm happy to help answer those questions:

  1. What are character packs/bundles, and what are they for? Character packs let you connect more fully with learners by adding realistic, photographic characters to your courses. Each high-resolution character pack includes 140+ poses, plus torso and headshots. Perpetual licenses of Storyline and Studio shipped with one photographic character pack and 40 illustrated character packs, so you can add more than 47,500 combinations of characters, expressions, and poses to your courses.
  2. How do I install it? You'll need to use the link in your product confirmation email to download the character pack or bundle installer to your computer. If you get stuck, give us a shout. We're happy to send you the .zip file and download link.

Let me know if that helps!

Hi when I purchased Articulate Presenter and Storyline, I received the character bundle.  Unfortunately now, I can't use either of these programs without paying out a large fee to upgrade to the online version.  I can't find the character bundle that I originally downloaded.  I think it was before my computer crashed.  Is it possible to get a link to these?

Hi guys,

I just got Storyline 3 from my employer, and it looks like a have a very limited number of characters. I contacted articulate customer services, and they send me a link to download the character bundle, but it did not work. Moreover, the Trigger Wizard looks very different to the ones used in the tutorials on YouTube. Did I just get an older version? Could you please check the attached screenshots and explain my why it is like that. it would be great. thanks a lot.

Hello Alejandro!

I see that you're working in a support case with our team to make sure you have access to the Characters that were purchased by your employer. You'll hear from our team via email shortly!

Also, the Trigger Panel in Storyline 3 looks different than the Trigger Panel in Storyline 360. So if you're watching Storyline 360 tutorials then you will notice a slight difference.

Hi Martin, and thank you for your question!

I see that you are a current Articulate 360 user. This original discussion was in regards to downloading characters for Storyline 3.

Good news: there is nothing you have to download to utilize characters in your Storyline 360 and Studio 360 courses! You have access to them all in Content Library 360. Here's a step-by-step guide on finding them and using them in your Storyline 360 courses.

Regarding accessing characters on your Mac, if you're using a virtual machine within your Mac (tips and best practices outlined here), you can use a Windows version of PowerPoint to author content with Studio 360 and have access to content library assets. However, I am not sure that you would be able to access characters in Photoshop or Illustrator.

I'm curious: Is your process always to design your training in Photoshop, Illustrator, and PowerPoint and then convert to Storyline, or is this a temporary process for a short time?
