Hi Bud! Long time no see I hope you're doing well.
And there are no dumb questions, so worry not. It's nothing you're doing wrong, this feature is actually not supported with Articulate Online at the moment.
Storyline gives you the option to allow users of the Articulate Mobile Player app for iPad to download content for offline viewing. However, Articulate Online requires an Internet connection to view and track content. As a result, we've currently disabled the ability for courses hosted in Articulate Online to be viewed offline in the iPad app.
While I know this may not be what you'd like to hear, I hope this answers your question. If you need any further information, please let me know.
If it is just for demonstration purposes, could you post it outside of AO and download it to your ipad? I have posted mine in dropbox and downloaded them to my iPad... works like a charm!
