Hi...a newbie here...trying to crop the beginning and end of a video with no luck...seems like it should be straightforward enough and I have checked the other discussions threads..i can drag the edit lines fine but apparently when I trim it is not saving those edits...im sure I'm missing something simple here.....
My suggestion is to save a lot of time and effort and use a dedicated video program. They are so much faster even if all you want to do is trim. You can open it, trim it, and import it in about the time it takes SL to open the video editor.
Even the free MSMovieMaker will work for trimming, and lots more.
Unfortunately I found trying to take a middle section out of my videos on storyline seemed to more difficult than it should be, it seems to be ok if just want to trim the start or end of your video, but the middle no good, would appreciate any help if it is just me and there is a simple way to do this.

Simple way to do it is MS Moviemaker, or Win 10 Photos, or even a free version of a dedicated video editor, like LightWorks or OpenShot.
