Engage Interaction and Slide Master
Dec 01, 2016
Hello Community - I am challenged with importing an Engage interaction into Storyline '13 and it NOT appear on top of the slide master. I tried creating a Lightbox slide, following the Custom Player Tab launch instructions and the slide master still appeared under the Engage Interaction. What am I missing to import the Engage interaction as a separate slide. Also, during playback the Engage interaction window is smaller than the slide master. Thanks.

Hi Paulette,
Thanks for including the screenshot and your file! All you need to do is change the layout of the slide containing the Engage interaction. I crated a quick video to show you how to do that here.
Hi Alyssa - Thank you! That was so easy. Any tips on how to adjust the Engage import slide to the Storyline slide. Currently the Engage slide is smaller than the Storyline slide. Thanks again!

Hi Paulette! Take a look at your Browser Settings and Player Size - do you have 'Scale to fill browser window selected'? If not, try that setting, and re-import the Engage interaction into Storyline. Let me know if that helps!
Hi Alyssa - Unfortunately, changing the setting did not change the layout. See attached image.

Thanks for that update, Paulette. Would you mind sharing your Engage project file here so I can test importing it into Storyline myself? Just to be sure, you are importing it into Storyline 2, correct?
You can share your file by clicking the Add Attachment button at the bottom of the reply window.
Hi Alyssa - Thank you for taking time to help me with this challenge.
Hello Paulette - Alyssa had to step away for the afternoon, so I'm going to take a look at your file and get back to you shortly.
Hi Paulette -
Thanks again for sharing your file and allowing us to take a look.
I imported your .intr file into a new Storyline 2 file and here's what I see:
Engage '13 interactions are set at 4:3 ratio and cannot be customized. Based on your image above, I'm going to say that you have a custom Story Size that you are utilizing and that's why it appears to not fill the screen for you.
