When you say you want to learn how to "access" the names entered in a text box, do you mean you'd like to recall their text using a text variable? So, in other words, the user enters their name at the beginning of the course and then you would recall and display their name at the end of the course?
If that's what you're trying to do, then you may want to check out these how-to articles on using data entry fields & recalling the data using variables:
Thanks for replying to my inquiry. I would like to have users sign in to
an elearning activity with their names and I'd like to access their names
for records purposes.
Hi again. Would your learners be accessing this activity from an LMS? If so, you can likely work with your LMS vendor or IT team to run reports that track who accessed the training, their score, etc.
If you don't have an LMS you can still track completions (by name). Here's an article that discusses how to do this in more detail.
I hope I'm on the right track in answering your question, but if you need anything else just let us know!
