Hi! I was working on adjusting timing of the entrance animations for some of my objects in storyline 2, and suddenly the entrance animation timing started running automatically and stops at 59.00 seconds. Although I try to edit the timing, it will not allow me to reset the timing. The 59 second animations are way too long for my project. I've tried removing and reinserting the associated objects, but this problem keep happening each items when I try to adjust the entrance timing. I suspect inadvertently changed a setting somewhere, but I've been unable to find a solution so far. Does anyone out there have the answer?
I'm sorry to hear about this bizarre behavior, and I'd also first want to check that you're working on project files as described here. You may also want to look at importing the project into a new file as detailed here to resolve any unusual behavior.
If the behavior persists after looking into those elements, please share the .story file here with us.
Thank you for your responses. I have no idea why, but the issue spontaneously resolved, although it had impacted several animations which I have to go in and manually adjust. I wish I could share specifics of how I resolved it, but I tried multiple things multiple times and I really don't know if it was something I did or just a weird and temporary glitch.
Thanks for the update and I'm happy to hear that things have resolved themselves. You may still want to look into the items I mentioned above, as working off a shared/network/usb drive is known to cause odd behavior.
I just had this exact same problem! Entrance started running and I couldn't stop it. Then I went to another slide and the same thing happened. I closed the file and reopened it, and that seemed to solve the problem.
I'm happy to hear that you were able to solve this by closing and reopening the file. You may also want to confirm that you're working on local project files as detailed here and that you're using the latest update of Storyline 2 Update 9.
Thank you. I'll check.
Another problem I just had. I upgraded to the latest release and my purchase information was lost -- I was returned to using a trial version.
Thanks,Ellen
When you conduct an upgrade or repair of Articulate products you'll see the prompt to continue using the free trial or activate with your serial number. The serial number should automatically be included from before - but if it's not and you no longer have access to the original number or don't know what it is, you can reach out to our team here and they'll be able to track it down for you.

If possible, please share your story file.

Hi Sonya, how frustrating! If you can, please share your file and we can have a look.
This has never happened to me, it seems very odd.
