It's not something that we would support as it likely involves some custom Javascript to pull the scores from your LMS or tracking system - so that's likely why you haven't noticed any staff replies.

You may have some difficulties with sharepoint if you have it setup with its default settings. Sharepoint blocks a lot of file types like .xml, .php, and .json, which you will need to record the high scores. You can go into Sharepoint as an admin and unblock those file types.
It depends on how you want to set up the database for the high scores, You can do this with PHP/MySQL or use JavaScript/XML. I think Javascript and XML would be easier, but that's relative.
