F5 Shortcut key quiz in various browsers
Mar 18, 2015
I know that shortcut key quiz is not working under some environment as it is described here: http://www.articulate.com/support/storyline/some-keystrokes-trigger-web-browser-actions
So I guess that's why some shortcut key like "Ctrl+U", "F5" are not working.
Is there any workaround for shortcut key quizzes?
It is compelelty not possible to make some key(which has a conflict with some browsers) work?
This link is the output for Ctrl+U and F5 shortcut quizzes.
1st slide: Ctrl+U show layer trigger by pressing Ctrl+U -> Doesn't work in Chrome and IE
2nd slide: Ctrl+U shortcut key quiz -> Works in Chrome, doesn't work in IE
3rd slide: F5 shortcut key quiz -> Works in Chrome, doesn't work in IE
It would be very appriciated if I can get some advices or tips considering developing a shortcut key quizzes.
Thanks,

Hi Soogyung,
Unfortunately as you saw in that article the browser controls will override whatever you've set up within the file. You may want to look at alternative ways to have the user answer this type of question: maybe they have to type in what keys they'd press, or you could include images of the keys, keyboard, etc. and have them select them as a hotspot or freeform pick many type question.
Hello Ashley,
We're currently using some keyboard images for shortcut quizzes.
I found the link I mentioned in the post while I'm searching the information. But I wanted to make it if there is any way or not. :-)
Thanks for the reply.
Thanks,
