This option is disabled because you have two words in your search, so Storyline is only going to search for that phrase. If you had typed in the word end, for example, Storyline would pull results that said endeavor, transcend, spend - but if you clicked "find whole words only", then it would only look for the word end. But if you have an entire phrase (more than one word), it's only looking for that phrase.
