Visiting a site such as this one from Adobe will confirm which version of Flash you have installed - and I'd check it in a few different web browsers, as they can have their own flash installed with the browser.
I haven't seen such an error message specific from Storyline, are you able to provide a screenshot of it? It may be worth conducting the repair of Storyline detailed here to ensure it's reading everything from your computer correctly.
I concur with Ashley. I don't think you're seeing an Articulate Storyline issue, at least not in my experience. Flash (and Adobe) are quirky and unforgiving masters.
Hi there, I am encountering a similar issue. My version of Flash is 16,0,0,296 yet each time I open any Articulate Studio product (Replay, Presenter, etc) it prompts to update to Flash 10 or higher. I am unable to open the software at all. What was the solution for this thread?
Adobe released an update to Flash player 16 in December and it prevents Articulate Software from being opened - and a fix for that was included in Studio '13 update 5 and Replay Update.

i installed google chrome which has version 13 and it still keeps asking to update the flash player..
i have reinstalled storyline etc. and nothing is helping..
will take a few minutes rest and will try again
and follow the repair instructions

no go- reinstalled as per instruction above.. and can't get storyline to open
it is insistant on looking for a better version of flash player

Were you able to confirm what version of Flash you have on your computer? You'll need Flash 10 or higher to work within Storyline.
