flash doesn't read from external files Jun 27, 2012 By katerina rajndl Hi! I have a flash file that I've imported to StoryLine. While executing flash should read from XML file and download audio files (.wav). My flash file and all files that it needs are in the same directory where the story file is. The problem is that flash doesn't read from external file (but works perfect outside storyline). I've tried to use both AS2 and AS3 in the flash file. But result is the same. It doesn't see xml and wav after importing into storyline. Could you, please, explain me, where should external file that is read from flash should be in order to make flash "see" them. Thanks

Hi Katerina, I have got this to work in the past. After publishing, I put the external files in the same directory as the story.html file. You have to use AS3 - Storyline does not support AS2.
