Full Screen/ Good Quality Video
Feb 06, 2019
Hello, heroes!
I would like to find out are there any options to improve the qaulity of sreen recorded video? Or at least to full fill it to the full screen? I 've already tried video settings in video options, also I have tried video settings before publishing. Nothing has helped. The clarity of the video (both viewed and published in LMS) is still very bad. While it is much better in Media Viewer.
Many thanks for any recommendations.

What's the resolution of your video?
Generally, if you record at a resolution higher than the course slide size the video quality will degrade.
For example, if your course is 720x540 and your video is 1920x1080 and you scale the video to fit the slide, you lose a lot of info.
720x540 = 388,800 pixels
1920x1080 = 2,073,600 pixels
The best solution is to set your slide size to the same as your video.
Tom, thank you for your reply.
The resolution of this video is 1600*900
Are there any ways to change the resolution of the recorded video? (I mean after the recording).
Since the video is not mine, we ve got it for the project from another company.
Hi Maryna,
Thanks for letting us know the resolution of the video. Are you able to set your story/slide size to this size to avoid any scaling issues as Tom mentioned?
How can I set a story\slide size to this size? Could you help me, Leslie? I though it was impossible to set it in Articulate Storyline 3. I would be very gratefull for any recomendations.
Thanks!
Hi Maryna!
Follow these steps to adjust the slide size in Storyline 3. Let us know if you have more questions about that!
Thank you, Alyssa. I have tried it before. The thing is the screens of the computers in our company are different, so it is hard to avoid scaling issues.
Hi Maryna!
In Player Properties, you can choose to Lock player at optimal size. This will lock the published course at its optimal size, which is the slide size plus additional width and height for the player frame. Even if learners view the course on various sizes of computer screens, the course itself stays at its optimal size.
Thank you, Alyssa, your answers were very helpful!
