I am looking at adding content triggered by a user location, thus wish to add a geolocation trigger. I know this can be done in Adobe Captivate but how about in Storyline?
You need to use a Javascript snippet to find a user's location and pass that info into a Storyline variable. Based on that variable's content, you can then display location-specific content, branch, etc.
While there's no built-in function in Storyline to do this at this time, I'm curious to know more. Would you mind sharing why having this function would come in handy for you? I'd love to share your insight with our product team!
Additionally, I've seen folks share some unsupported strategies in a similar conversation here. Hope that helps, and excited to hear your thoughts!
It's probably too late for this, but you can use a widget that returns the learner's location and add triggers to modify the content based on the location received. Here's what you can use: https://cluelabs.com/location-elearning-widget.html
