Having a problem applying a variable to a button

Hello community,
I am trying to program a button to appear once the learner's score is equal to or greater than 9. However, every time I attempt to set the variable, the trigger disappears. Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong? (See screen captures)

As far as I know, the 'When Variable Changes' operator can only be used in slide triggers, NOT in triggers that are attached to objects.

Thanks for your response Micheal. I just figured it out- I need to use a true/false variable instead of a value variable. Now it works.
