To write in Hindu within Storyline, you'd need to have the language installed on your computer and then turn on the appropriate dictionary within Storyline here and described in this article
Yes, Thank you for replay, But it did not solve the problem, I have already have hindu numbers on my system, and i can write it in power point and any program, when i write numbers in storyline or in imported power point it turn to Arabic numbers.
Your advice for solving, did not solve the problem :(
I'm not able to test this myself, as I don't have Hindu or Arabic installed on my system to type it in, and when I try to use Google Translate to see the numeric characters from English to Hindi - they show like regular numbers and not specific to Hindi. Are you able to share some Hindi numbers here that I could try copy and paste?
Can you also confirm the following which are known to cause odd behavior:
Ok, the attached pic is written in power point Arabic and Hindu Numbers, I can not write Hindu in storyline. Also, when i import power point file contains Hindu numbers, is automatically converted to Arabic numbers.
Ashley is out of the office today, so I wanted to stop by to see if I could help.
I took a look at the document you provided, and this is what I see:
I think the problem is that neither Ashley nor myself have Hindu installed on our machines. It's not a language we work with often :)
I attempted to install the Hindu language pack on my machine (Windows 8.1) and I do see some fonts that have been added. I attempted to use those fonts within Word itself and it still displays similar to the screenshot I used above.
Can you let us know what font you're using when you're able to to successfully enter Hindu text in PowerPoint and other programs on your machine, please?
You can do it, but installing Arabic language on windows.
Then enter Control Panel, then language, then in select tab Format, then button Additional Settings, then in the last combo Box "use native digits" select "context"
I added the Arabic languages (there were quite a few) but I'm afraid my settings aren't quite the same for formatting. I'm using Windows 8.1 and I believe yours is an earlier version of Windows.
In either case, the options were somewhat similar, I just had to take a different route.
It took me a while to notice the keyboard input option available, but once I did I was able to change the language and input text:
Numbers:
So, it looks like Hindu is entering text correctly for letters, but not for numbers.
Could you please take a look at this and confirm that the text I've used and numbers is correct? If so, I can initiate a report with our Quality Assurance team for testing of the issue.
Ok :) Looks like I was typing with "Hindu" selected and not Arabic, because I was under the impression that's what you were using as well.
I was able to type the numbers in PowerPoint successfully:
I also double-checked Storyline to ensure Right-to-Left language was enabled for slide text.
I'm still seeing the same thing with Hindu and Arabic numbers. They convert to European/English numbers in-slide.
I'm going to reach out to our colleagues and see if we have someone a little more familiar with this language that can assist, or let us know if these numbers are supported in Storyline.
I'll share an update as soon as I have more information.
Quite a few of us were trying this out, and since it's not our native language it's been a bit difficult. It seems that the numbers will type using input into PowerPoint and some other programs, but not all.
For example, I cannot type the numbers into this thread, Skype and other documents.
However, one of our colleagues, David Fair was able to successfully paste the numbers into a Storyline project from an article. With this content, you can use the text that's already in place in the text boxes.
I wanted to share this file with you, so you can take a look. If this works for you, you can import that slide into your current project and reuse the numbers. Alternatively, you can copy directly from the article I provided above.
Christine is out of the office today - but I was discussing this with her earlier so I wanted to chime in.
After a bit of testing, we were unable to type them in directly due to our language set ups, but using the copy and paste from the Wikipedia article or within the .story file allowed us to use the numbers throughout in the format you desire. The copy and paste method or duplication of the text boxes is what I believe she was suggesting you use going forward.

Hi Amr,
Are you able to type the Hindi numbers here in the forum or attach a Word document with them, so that I could try copying/pasting into a .story file?
Hi Ashley
Find the file in attachment

Hi Ashley
Thank you for your efforts.
As you can see :
TextBox 1 : Hindu numbers
TextBox 2 : Arabic numbers
TextBox 3 : Hindu and Arabic numbers
Before writing/ typing numbers:
press Alt+Shift
It works great for me.
بالتوفيق
