You could arrange the buttons in each row into button sets. This way users can only select one card per row. See attached a quick example and here is the published version. From there, you can take it further and use variable to identify which card was selected in each row.

Perfect. That is what we are looking for. I've overlaid images of our huddle cards on top of the buttons and it's perfect!.
