How can I remove the Mouse Click sound from Screen Recordings?

I am trying to disable the click sounds but cannot find a simple way other than going in and either removing the sound from the video or via this recommendation: http://www.articulate.com/support/storyline/how-to-disable-the-click-sound-in-screen-recordings

I'd be even happier if I could stop the click sound from being automatically inserted.

Has anyone found a better way?
