I am trying to create a quiz in which I use a hotspot question. For look and feel consistancy in my courses, I want my own button to be used when submitting the answer rather than having the player's submit button or advancing when the user clicks on the answer. How can I do this?
I am able to do this for multiple choice questions but can't figure out how to do it for hotspot questions.
I already performed the steps that you provided. Now whenever I clck on my hotspots, my own button appears as programmed, but the score isn't isn't being recorded.
I have 3 triggers set on my next button to as follows:
Set Question2 equal to checked (this is a variable that I set up)

You can remove (deselect) the Submit button in the slide properties for the question.
While viewing the question:
Right mouse click off of the slide
choose properties
remove the checkmark next to submit.

I keep getting the following hour glass icon when I click on my hotspots
can you post the file? it sounds like you've got everything right....
Posting my file.
You need to add the submit button to a layer as having it on the baselayer will cause that point to be the area you select
