I have contacted our LMS and they gave me the following instructions. But I don't know how to use these codes.
The course gets the user's First name from the following value the LMS passes through: cmi.core.student_name in the following format: "lastname, firstname"
Example: "cmi.core.student_name":"Smith, Jason","cmi.core.lesson_location":"0") - This will return "Jason".
Thank you so much for a quick reply Michael. I just copy patested the Java script. Set reference field into the slide. It worked without follwoing any instructions from our LMS.

Surya, it looks like the code at the beginning this thread will get the name for you, split it to an array, then you can pick the array element you want to assign to your variable.
