Hi Lucy my initial response would have been no you'd need the source file but I actually tested it and it did work for me.
I went into the published folder > story_content and found the one image I had. The file name is converted by SL into something unrecognisable but if you turn on the view pane in explorer when you click on it you will see which one it is.
Then rename the original with a tag to distinguish it - in my example .orig.jpg
Copy the new image into this file and then rename it was the original file was named.
Note: Articulate do not support any changes to published output.
