How to save .story file into a .SCROM file

Jul 28, 2017

Hi,

I am still new to Storyline. I have completed my project and published it on Storyline's LMS option in format of Scrom 1.2. However, as I save my file I still get .story as extension whereas I want to upload the course in my LMS in a Scrom file.

Please help me how to do it.

TIA

Hi Sanchita!  Welcome to Articulate!

You're soooo close.  😁  You did the right thing by publishing for LMS.  You can choose where on your computer the published package will save  -- that's where you'll find the file when you're ready to upload it to your LMS.

When publishing completes, you'll get a window that gives you some options.  Most likely, you'll want to Zip your file.

That zipped folder of output is the package that you will upload to your LMS.  Does your LMS provider have a support page that gives you instructions for uploading content?

Here's our Storyline 360 User Guide tutorial on publishing for LMS.

Saving your project will still give you a .story extension.  That file is what you edit when you need to make changes.  Then you would publish again and get a new SCORM package.

Let me know how you make out!
