Good news! I'm happy to share that we just released Storyline 360 (Build 3.81.31200.0), which includes a feature to control the background audio for each slide using triggers to play, pause, or stop the playlist.

Great question! I understand you would like to be able to turn off the background audio on specific slides. Even though the new background audio feature has many options, turning off the background audio on specific slides is not one of them. That sounds like an interesting idea that I can share with our product team.

Thanks for letting us know that you'd also like to be able to turn off the background music for specific slides in Storyline 360. We've added your voice to this existing feature request and will let you know once it is available!

Hi, a workaround is to import a "silent sound" (or create it directly in Storyline) and make it loop in a layer. Then set the volume to 0 % in the background music option when a slide is playing.

Hi Lauren, this was a great feature to add. one thing that would be helpful though is a way to choose when the background music begins. As i am uploading courses to an LMS, as soon as the user enters the lesson page the course starts playing. I can pause the timeline/pause the background music when timeline starts so that the user has to click a button to enter the course before the music begins BUT it still starts to play and then stops when the trigger kicks in which is a bit annoying. I want zero sound until the user clicks to enter the course, not .5 seconds of music and then it stops and then starts again when user enters the course
it would also be so helpful to have greater control over the volume of the background music. even wthough we can turn it down when other audio plays it is I want to be able to turn it down overall and not just when the voice over is happening. i want it very subtle in the background. any ideas?
