I'm trying to figure out what is the best/fastest way to update a screencast simulation slide within a scene without having to redo all the properties(triggers, variables..etc). Is this possible? I have a certification course with most of the 30+ questions created using screencast, but I need to update them because the software that I was screencasting from has new iteration since the original screencast. Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you.
What elements are you looking at updating? You have some options within the action fine tuning (check out this tutorial), but if the software has changed it's look or functionality you may need to look at conducting the recording again.
Thanks Ashley for providing the tutorial. The Action Fine Tuning is showing how I can made edit to the current screencast. What I'm looking for is a way to update the current screencast recording to a newer one and keeping everything in the scene unchanged. Do you know how that can be accomplished quickly? Thanks for your help.
If there's just one or two steps that need to be changed, you can start a new recording, and insert the step-by-step slides into a new scene. Then, click and drag only the slides that you need into the original step-by-step scene.
If you need to update all of the steps, then you'll want to record everything from scratch. You'll still be able to copy/paste objects and triggers from the original scene to the new scene, which should save some time.
