It is still not a feature within Storyline to wrap the title for the Resources. Thanks for checking in here though and you're also welcome to use that link that Leslie previously shared to send along your thoughts too.
Good feature to have in the future. In the meantime, just have to indicate or advise participants to hover over each item under Resources until the tool tip shows the full title. And, we get to practice being concise :) when naming files.
I do have a set of 10 questions under the Assessment section. However, I am unable to group or club them under Assessments. The Menu displays Question 1, Question 2, Question 3 and so on... I am looking for an option wherein I could club the questions under Assessments. This could be avoided by disabling the Menu feature; however my client insists on including the Menu feature as well. Attached the screenshot for your reference.
Admittedly I'm a little confused as to what you're asking, and I want to make sure I understand fully.
I see that the questions are subheadings under the Assessment heading in your screenshot- clicking the arrow next to Assessments will show or hide them. Are you not wanting them to appear at all in the menu?
If so, just select each slide title and click the Delete heading icon below the menu.
Scenes and slides you remove from the menu will still be part of your published course; they just won’t show in the menu.

Ediana, how do we make the tooltip feature work (activate the feature) for Resources? I know how for the Menu but I do not know how for Resources. Your help would be appreciated as we have long Resources titles.
The tool tip should appear automatically for the Resources. Simply hover over a long title for a few seconds and it should pop up. See attachment. Hope this helps.
My issue with the Resources pop up is that it can get stuck on the slide. The only way I can find to get it unstuck is to hover over another title, if there is one, and quickly click outside of the Resources menu before that title gets stuck. I've submitted a feature request to wrap text for Resources. Maybe since the current setup is buggy, they will implement the wrap text feature soon!
I haven't seen that before, and from your screenshot alone it's hard to tell what's happening. Could you share a copy of that project with us here or send along to our team? Even just that one slide with the Resource tab enabled would work well.
Thanks for checking in, Alexander. While there ins't a way to wrap long resource titles in the Storyline Resource tab, I appreciate you letting us know this feature is important to you!
Is there a date for getting the wrap text done for Resources? I can't get the tooltip to work.
My users are having problems navigating through.
For example, the advance and back buttons aren't super-responsive on a mobile phone - you need to swipe instead of click. But it's not intuitive. So I want to do a few cover shots teaching them how to navigate through Storyline. Not very nice to zoom into the Resources panel when it's stuck and shows a truncated title.
Are you finding that the Show tooltip on hover option is not working in the HTML5 output? If that's right, this feature is not supported in HTML5 content at this time. I'll share this feedback with the team, though, and notify you if there's any change to how the resource and tooltip text function!
In the meantime, we'd love to have a closer look at your course for tailored approaches. If you're able to share the .story file, please use this private upload link!
OK thank you Lauren. it will really help to either have the tooltip appear or to be able to wrap the text. The appearance of the Resources panel is a bit of a let-down compared to the rest - doesn't look very professional.

Hi John!
I don't see a way of wrapping this text, but this could be a useful idea. I would recommend submitting a feature request.
Yes please this would be a useful addition, wrap text for Resource titles in player menu.
Thank you,
Silvia
Thanks Silvia, and feel free to submit a feature request as well.
Has this been addressed yet? I also want to wrap the text in the Resources tab like I can in the Menu. Thanks!

OR
If you're looking to make another heading under Assessments to store them in, you could add a new heading into your menu.
I made a quick screen recording of this process for you over here. Take a Peek at it and let me know if either of these are what you're looking to do!

Thanks.

Hi Jacqueline!
Thank you for checking back! Right now, we don't have a release date for this feature. If I hear of an update, I'll report back to this discussion.
Hi Lauren
Is there a way to fix the tooltip then so that the full title appears on hover. The tooltip doesn't work on all my projects.

Hi Katie
I don't think it's the HTML5 that's the problem. The tooltip doesn't appear even when I publish to Review 360.
Hi Jacqueline!
HTML5 format is used when publishing to Review 360. This is why you're noticing the tooltip doesn't appear.
Here's a glimpse!

Hi Lauren,
Here is another one of your users wishing for a wrap feature in Resource tab titles. Thank you.
Thank you for your input! We are continuing to track the impact of this feature and will report back if we hear of an update.
