Hi, I recently got a report from a business testing accessibility and they identified a few problems. Can someone advise what element in storyline corrects the following issues please?
1.. Is there a way to change font from fixed pixels to relative units, for example measured in 'em' or 'rem'? to prevent scaling causing problems
3. is there a way to set the primary language of all pages to the english EN code - lang="en"?
6. What property of the audio file can I edit to label the audio as a text alternative?
If some of these are not able to be corrected, is there a way that I can edit the code directly to fix them?
Thanks
mike

Hi Mike,
Are you referring to the story.html (Flash) or the story_html5.html (HTML5) page?
Hi Brian, the file they viewed was the story.html, but what I want to do shouldnt matter on the output, as its in storyline itself that I want to set language, etc.
If it cant be done in storyline, is there a way to edit the published files directly?
Thanks
Mike
Hi Mike,
Please see my answers below each of your questions:
1. Is there a way to change font from fixed pixels to relative units, for example measured in 'em' or 'rem'? to prevent scaling causing problems.
A1 - Since the content is published to Flash, fonts won't scale.

3. Is there a way to set the primary language of all pages to the english EN code - lang="en"?
A3 - You can update the HTML5 tag for language = en. However, it's not necessary since the content is being rendered in Flash. In the story.html file, you would update the html attribute with the lang=en attribute.

6. What property of the audio file can I edit to label the audio as a text alternative?
A6 - This is typically done on the author's side. For example, if you have a visually impaired user, you may want to include narrated audio in each slide. However, if you don't already have narrated audio, you would need to create an image, set appropriate alt text for the image, and create a trigger on that image that plays audio. Thus, enabling the user to have audio as a text alternative.
