I posted a topic an hour ago asking why I have a problem to launch the .exe file when publishing my lesson to CD in Articulate Storyline. (Attached is a shot).
Here is what was done:
I have published a lesson and renames the default names from: "story.html" to "lesson1.html" and "Launch_Story.exe" to "lesson1.exe". I figured out the the problem with renaming the "story.html" file. When I switched it back to its default name the lesson played very fine!!
The executable file (launch_story.exe) is programmed to open story.html. If you change the name of the HTML file, then the executable can't find it, which is why you get the error.
It is hard-wired; you can't change it. Have you tried changing the .exe file only? It's the one users will see and click, so it doesn't matter so much what the .html file is called.
You are right Walt. I have changed only the .exe and it works fine. But the reason I need the .html as well is the fact that .exe files do not work on Mac devices.

I hope this helps!
Hi Maria,
Thanks for clarifying this.
Is there anyway to overcome this .. or this is a built-in settings?
Thanks
