I need help with a Tic-Tac-Toe game
Oct 31, 2018
Hi,
I have created the attached Tic-Tac-Toe game using a template from the downloads. I had to do a lot of changing because of the nature of my project.
I can not get the "You Won" slide to pop up when you get three X's in a row. It will do it when the game is complete, but I would prefer it happen when the player gets three X's in a row.
I know it is probably a simple fix, but I can not figure out how to make it work.
I would appreciate any help!
Thanks
Robin

Hi Robin
I would get rid of all the show layer triggers under the start button and instead make show layer triggers based on when the WordCount variable changes (like the ones you have for the word layers). When I added the one in the attached screenshot it displayed the 4 of 8 layer after the 6th word if they'd gotten them all right up until then.

Awesome! Thanks Louise, I will give it a try!

I am fairly new to storyline.
How do you set up the conditions? When I chose "Variable changes" it does not give me the same options. Am I making sense?
Thanks
Robin
Never mind again! I figured it out!
Thanks again for your help!
Robin
Glad you were able to figure it out Robin, and in case you need some references to help with future course development I wanted to link you to our Tutorials page. You'll find links to all versions of Storyline and within those pages lots of details on how to set up variables, triggers, etc.
A little bit late, but here is what I came up with.
Thanks for responding Russell!
