Identify heading1 (heading 1, heading 2, etc)
Mar 27, 2024
Hello E-learning Heroes,
How can I identify if a heading is a heading 1 or a heading 2, etc?
I took one of the slides (Synergy -> Grid) in the content library and tried to identify if some text is a heading 1 or a heading 2, but I couldn't. When I select the header and look in the Text Styles button, the Normal Text is selected. Strange because it's a heading. The Drop down menyu shows Prata (Headings), but doesn't tell which heading. It's all really confusing.
What am I doing wrong? What is the solution?

Hi there. Is your project up to date so it can take advantage of styles and semantic HTML? https://access.articulate.com/support/article/Storyline-360-Upgrade-Project-Text
Hello Sam,
I upgraded the slide (Synergy -> Grid) as described in the article, but when I select a heading I still can't see if it's a heading 1 or a heading 2, etc. This should possible?
When you create a new theme font, it's only possible to choose a font for the headings and for the body, but you can't choose a specific font for the specific heading (h1 to h5)? Correct? And you also can't choose the colour of the headings/body text? That's separate from the the fonts?
Thanks in advance,

Hi there, all of the stuff you are describing has been standard functionality for quite some time now. Can I confirm you are using Storyline 360?
Yes, I do use Storyline 360!
I think I now understand how I have to work with (theme) fonts:
In the 'Create new Theme Fonts' dialog you only select the font and with the Text Styles button you select the type of heading (heading 1 to heading 4).
And to set the size and colour of a specific heading you have to use 'Update style from selection'. It's not very intuitive, but it works.
I expected these settings in the 'Create new Theme Fonts' dialog.
