I am trying to import a screencast SL module into another SL module. When I import, the size of the screencast slides are too small and show a background on the right half of the slide.
How do I import so the screencast slides do not change size?
If you recorded the screen cast at a smaller screen size than the story size of the project you're importing it to, then it will by default take up less space within your slide. You'd need to either change the story size, re-record, or when you look at your story size, you can determine how it'll interact with elements that are larger or smaller - although this method may change the overall resolution of your content:
