Imported Quizmaker Object Not Behaving Properly
Sep 19, 2018
I created an exam using Quizmaker '13. Once I imported it into a project developed in Storyline 3, the text of the responses is not visible (neither in design view or preview). The text of the question stem is shown correctly, only the text of the responses is invisible. In Preview mode, if I pause the mouse pointer over a response, the highlight bar and the text display properly.
I could not find a way in Quizmaker to turn off selection highlight of a response. I believe this may be the problem. Has anyone run into this problem? If so, is there a fix or work-around I can use. I don't really want to create the exam entirely in Storyline 3 if it can be helped.
I have attached a graphic of one of the True/False questions. You can see in Preview mode how the highlighted response text is visible and the other is invisible. Thanks in advance, for any help.

Hi Darrell,
Could we also get a look at your .story file or the original .quiz file? That'll help with some next steps to troubleshoot what you're seeing!
Thanks for the response Ashley, but with the help of a co-worker we were able to determine the problem and resolve it. It only occurred when I imported into the current project file. So, we imported the quiz into a new project and the text displayed properly. I was then able to import my course project into this new file and now everything seems to be working.
I appreciate the response. Unfortunately, the company I work for does not allow the "public release" of any information with it going through a vigorous review by our Classification Office, so I usually cannot upload content to an external or cloud server.
Thanks again, Darrell
Ah, glad you hear you resolved it Darrell! I wonder what it was, but it sounds like a possible corrupt file? There are some good tips here on preventing file corruption.
