Importing PPT issues

Hi! I'm new. Really new. I just completed July 08, 2019: Part 1: Up & Running with Storyline 360. I started a new project and imported a 16 slide PowerPoint presentation. It is linear; no hyperlinks. I removed the triggers to automatically advance the slides, so I only have the 2 Player Triggers for next and previous. That's all I've done. If I try to preview, I get an error telling me the target of this link is not available. I'm not sure where I've made a mistake.

Hi Tamara
sorry to hear you're having trouble. Take a look at the this KB article and see if any of the tips help.
If not, can you upload the ppt file and someone will try and help you.
Hello Wendy, none of those apply to my issue. I'll try to rephrase.
I have successfully imported the PPT presentation into Storyline 360. They are in linear order, so they are in just one scene. I have edited every slide inside of Storyline with no issues. I am using the provided navigation buttons.
While editing the content, I stopped to preview several times. Sometimes, it takes several seconds to generate, then will preview just as it should with no issues. Sometimes, like a moment ago, it took a second or two to generate (which obviously it did not) I get the error message that I attached to the original post.
While typing this message, for example, I wanted to grab that error message again so I clicked preview....it took a few seconds to generate (as it should)...and now it looks awesome.
So, I think what I may be asking is, what was different? I didn't change anything. I clicked preview and it failed. I went back less than a minute later and clicked preview and it succeeded. Last night, I was completely stuck. Now its all roses. What did I do differently?
Hi Tamara
unfortunately sometimes there is no 'why' answer.
I recently had a PPT that had a corrupt object on a slide - it was a coloured shape (nothing special about it - no text or animations associated with it) but it caused the whole import to crash. In my case, I had to import 6 slides at a time, preview & publish to try and find the corrupt slide, then remove that slide from the ppt import and rebuild it directly in SL.
Sorry I don't have a definitive answer for you but happy to hear your project is now working!
