We create a course in English using Storyline 360, then use the translation export function to create the XLF file to be used for the french translation, for example.
Once we get the file back we import and tweak etc.
Then the last step is to create a language selection screen in the main english file and then import french storyline course into another scene, then link the french button to the french scene.
Slides in the imported course that contain layer reveal triggers always revert to 'unassigned' instead of keeping the layer name. Also references to radio buttons or check boxes revert to 'unassigned' too. Quizes are not affected.
To fix this we go through the course manually reinstating the correct layer names or references to radio/check boxes. When we do multiple languages this becomes an issue.
I've tried making the layer names unique across the storyline file, but it makes no difference.

There is a bug when you import the same course in triggers seem to break,
OK 😒, at least we can plan for additional work when we translate.
