In evaluation mode - need help with building a quiz

Feb 26, 2016

We are in the evaluation stage for SL2. I have only used it for a few days, but am trying to figure out as much as I can before we decide to buy or not.

I am trying to create my first quiz in SL2. I looked on the forums, but either I am not searching properly, or this is so basic it is not addressed!

I am trying to incorporate a try again function in a quiz (see attached). Here is the functionality I am trying to get:

Question 1 appears
If User selects correct response, then they go to next slide

If answer incorrect, give them the option to continue to the next question , or re-try the current question. I will also need to "clear" the previous answer.

If they elect to continue, mark question as wrong, and go to next question

If they select to re-try the same question, reset the question, note the attempt number and re-display.  Continue this "loop" until they get the question correct, or abandon (select continue) and go on to the next question

The same thing would be done for question 2
The results page would display:

- Number of questions right
- Number of tries for each question

I am not sure how to do this, and any help would be most appreciated!

Thanks

Terry

Hi Terry!

Sounds like this would need a custom set-up outside of standard, built-in functionality.

You can have multiple attempts per question, but this will automatically show the Try Again Layer and allow the user to re-try immediately. This does not give an option to continue on.

In addition, if you have the retry quiz option enabled on the results slide, this will take the user back through the entire quiz.

Hopefully someone in the community will be able to chime in and assist if they have experience with this type of set up.
