I created a Matching Drag-n-Drop question, typing the questions with their appropriate answers each on their own line. I assume that that specifies what the correct match is for each. Then in the Question Editor, the tutorial tells me to select "Answers" in the Shuffle drop-down. However, the Shuffle drop-down is disabled--grayed out.
Yeah, sorry, my free trial ran out at midnight. (Maybe when it does, the desktop icon should turn into a pumpkin. ;->) However, I'm putting the work sample I created on my web site, www.jeffthomaswriting.me, if you want to take a look at the result. In it, I created and used a second scene for a set of learn-more slides, used layers with triggers a few times, both user-event and timed, and of course created the quiz, Thanks for your responsiveness, folks! All in all, Storyline has excellent usability in much of its UI, particularly in the paradigm for creating layers and triggers (as well as excellent functionality there). I hope to be an enthusiastic user soon!
I tried to make a drop and match quiz, but somehow I cannot shuffle the answers nor the questions, it kind of becomes a dead give away for the answers.
Answer choices are automatically shuffled in the built-in graded Matching Drag-and-Drop question which will grey out the Shuffle: field.
How do the answer choices display during Preview or in the published output? If they are not shuffled, would you mind sharing your .story file with us so we can take a closer look at what's happening?
You can share it publicly here, or send it to us privately by using this upload link. We'll give it a test and delete it once we solve this puzzle!

Hi Jeffrey,
Could you upload the slide in question so I can take a look?
Thanks :)
Sorry; I just turned it into a series of multiple-choice questions. I'll try creating another one.
Hi Jeffrey! Thanks for the update. Hopefully we will be able to understand what you are reporting when you post an example :)

We look forward to having you as well Jeffrey :)
Hi folks, I have the same question as Jeffrey.
I tried to make a drop and match quiz, but somehow I cannot shuffle the answers nor the questions, it kind of becomes a dead give away for the answers.
Thanks in advance for the help.
Hi Robert! Are you using a Matching Drag and Drop question in Storyline 360? The answer choices should automatically shuffle.
Can you share a sample file or even a screenshot of what you're seeing? Thanks!
Hi, I'm having the same issue, here is a screenshot... the shuffle answers option is greyed out and I cannot select. Thanks for your help!
Welcome, Lush Training. Happy to help! 🌟
