Incorporating Adobe Sign into Policy e-Learning

Oct 07, 2020

Hi all!

I am wondering if anyone has found a way to include Adobe Sign into an e-learning. I am creating a policy e-learning which requires a signature at the end. Since the policy is in the format of a PDF, Adobe has the option to ask for an e-signature. I am wondering if there is a way to include that process so I can officially have participants sign the policy instead of just pushing a button. Any ideas? I am pretty new to Articulate, so any help is appreciated :) Thanks!

Hi, Kim,

I don't know of any way to include Adobe Sign into an eLearning. However, you could make successful completion of the course based on the user acknowledging their acceptance of the policy:

  • Put a T/F question at the end of the course that is worded like an Acknowledgment statement (e.g., "Do you acknowledge that you understand and will follow Policy XYZ?").
  • Change "True" and "False" to "Yes" and "No."
  • Add a Results slide for that question, and have the course track completion based on that result.
    • Just in case, you do have to plan for what happens if someone answers "No." For example, give them options to review the content and to re-answer the Acknowledgment statement.

As long as the course is within an LMS, that will track whether the user acknowledged the policy or not, which should be an acceptable, compliant alternative to signing a PDF.
