Whenever I click Home New Slide or Insert New Slide Storyline always crashes. What I have to do is duplicate a slide, delete the contents and then add my new information. I've used Storyline since it has been released, and it has never worked properly.

Same issue. I just had Storyline installed on 11/22/13 and it is doing the same thing. All other functions work correctly so far. I will try the troubleshooting steps from Peter above and see if that works. Fingers crossed!
Just wanted to chime in for others. I had the same problem... Storyline started crashing whenever I tried to install a new slide. I followed the steps Peter suggests above (specifically the repair step) and it resolved the issue. Hooray!!!
Update on my issue to: I was missing Flash (small, minor detail - oops!), had IT install it, and then followed Peter's steps and Wah-la SL works beautifully now. Thanks!

I would suggest reinstalling or repairing your installation, hope this helps

I'm getting exactly the same problem, whenever I click New Slide Storyline crashes. Should I remove and reinstall, please?
Please note I'm running Storyline via VMWare on a Mac, is that likely to cause other problems too, please?
