iPad/Safari/HTML5 behavior in Frameset

I've observed that when an LMS encapsulates Storyline HTML5 in a launch wrapper that is HTML4 or XHTML, it appears that Storyline in the HTML5 frameset runs as if it is in HTML4 mode.  No sound, poor animations if any, various problems.

It isn't intuitive to me that a frameset's mode should be dictated by the outer wrapper, but then HTML5 doesn't support framesets, so perhaps this lack of support extends to the outer wrapper.

I can't find anything about this on the net, but anyone with similar experiences please contribute here.  The significance is that any LMS that launches a course in a new window with an outer launch wrapper will cripple the HTML5 playback.

Hope I'm wrong.  Any confirmation from community experiences?
