Issue with screencast!

Feb 27, 2017

Hi, Community!

I work with a lot of software simulations in my courses. To do this, I have Storyline's screenrecording window configured in a specific size.

Today I tried recording my screen and found out that when storyline inserts the screencast, it does it in a smaller size. Then I discovered that if I recorded my screen but this time WITHOUT any interaction, storyline inserts the screencast in the correct size (the one I configured). So I concluded that the size of the screencast looks smaller only when the screenrecording contains interaction. Could this be a bug? I always do it and never had this problem...

I'm attaching the file so you can see it better and maybe spot what's wrong.

The first slide is the size I want!

Thanks!

Hi there Pamela!

If you'd like the screen recording to take up the entire slide, you'll want to adjust the screen recording dimensions to match the Story Size. It looks like your Story Size is 1200x900, so the screen recording dimensions should be the same.

I recorded a short screencast using those dimensions and inserted it in your file as a video on one slide and as step-by-step slides. Take a look, and let me know if you have any questions about it!
