Every so often the timeline bar will not move - it appears to be locked but unsure how this occurred. I see from online discussions that others have had this issue as well. Is there a quick fix that you can share?
I don't know if this is your problem, but if there is an item on the timeline that has a fixed time (it does not show until end), the timeline cannot be modified to be shorter than that time.
I'd agree with Walt's thoughts here to start - but if you're still having difficulty it would be best if you're able to share a copy of that slide for us to take a look at.
Thank you both for your response. Please see slide attached for your review. The problem is on the "No response - auto close" layer. Be kind....I am new to Storyline and ID:).
Watch the video where I try to shorten the timeline. I can only shorten it until I hit the end of Text Box 14, which is not set to Show Until End. You can tell, because it does not have the little arrow.
When I right click on it and set it to Show Until End, I can shorten the timeline until I hit the next item with a fixed length, which is Right Arrow 1.

Thanks! That helped! I was able to fix my issue and got a great lesson as well.
