I just downloaded and installed Storyline 2 trial knowing that both Storyline 1 and Storyline 2 could run independently. However, Storyline 2 has made itself the default program and apparently made some registry changes to make it happen. I attempted to use Windows "Open With", but even though I select Storyline 1 it still uses Storyline 2.
I had to do this on my system too and had to change it within the file type that should open in a particular application. You're looking for the .story file, and I see both programs listed as "Articulate Storyline" and "Articulate Storyline 2"
If you open Storyline 1, are you able to then go and choose to open a file within that version as well?
