Matching Drag and Drop Question - Issue with feedback
Jan 26, 2015
Hi
I am new at using Storyline to develop eLearning. I have been throwing myself in there recently! I am really starting to get to grips with playing with the different features, and I have introduced a Matching Drag and Drop question into my project.
Unfortunately when the feedback appears for an incorrect response - when the user clicks continue I expect the layer to be hidden - unfortunately that is not the case and elements of the layer do get hidden, but some don't?!
Has anyone else had this issue?
I have checked and double checked and I can't see what I am doing wrong - I have inserted a number of other questions and I have not had this issue, only on the Matching Drag and Drop.
Please help! It's driving me nuts!
Liz

Hi Elizabeth,
Can you take a screenshot of what it looks like when you click on continue? It would also be helpful if I could see a screenshot of your the trigger window on the feedback layer that is not working correctly.
Thanks!
Thanks Allison... please find attached the shots as requested... let me know if you need anything else!
Thank you

Hi Liz,
Thanks for the screenshots - so after clicking the "continue" button the incorrect layer - what does the user see next? I didn't notice any trigger on your incorrect layer that the user should be brought to a different slide - so it looks like it's returning you to the question slide? I'd suggest adding a trigger to the continue button on the incorrect layer to jump the user to the next slide when clicked.
Hi Ashley
The plan was that they were to go back to the question page to have another attempt. Unfortunately instead of hiding the layer only parts of the layer are hidden meaning the individual cannot reattempt the question. That's what my issue is - I need them to be able to go back to the question and try again. The way I have set it up works for a number of other types of question, just not this one. I am wondering if there is a bug with this question?
Thanks
Liz
Hi Liz,
Can you share that one slide here with us so that we can take a look?
