Modern Player either doesn't like VLE or mobile devices.

Hi

I love how the modern player looks and recently did some work to one of our courses to see how it looks. I have come across two issues;

  1. My screen ratio doesn't really fit for the desktop version of the modern player, what would be the best size?
  2. I cant get the new course to play from the VLE (Blackboard) without error messages when i try with mobile devices. Both Andriod and iOS

Anybody else have these issues that can give some advice?

Hi there, Matthew. Ah, so great to hear you're loving the modern player! Let's get those two concerns sorted. A few questions to start:

  • The modern player should scale smoothly to fill browsers on every screen–large and small. Here's a handy guide of how a course with the modern player enabled looks on computers and mobile devices. 
  • Really sorry about those error messages. Can you share some screenshots, and let me know what browser(s) you're viewing the content in? Can you also share more insight on what VLE is?  ☺️Full transparency: I'm assuming it's similar to an LMS, but want to be 100% certain so I'm on the same page.
  • If you're able to share your .story file, I'd like to test it in a few environments to see how it looks. Simply pop it into this discussion by using the Add Attachment link in your reply.
