Ok. This can't be a big issue but I am gapping on how to figure out a simple animation.
At the beginning of a slide, I want an object to fade into the center of the screen and then slowly slide over to cover another object in the corner. Is this doable?
Unfortunately it's not built into the current version of Storyline.
I have faked it a few ways before.
One method is to put like ten copies of the object on the stage each a few pixels to the side of the the next one. Then set those object to fade in/out quickly. Now time the animations so that one fades in just as the other fades out. Not perfect but can do in a pinch.
I have also resorted to putting Flash on the slide for some courses. A few times in those courses if there HAD to be an HTML5 version then I added a layer with simpler SL animations. Then put in some logic to show that layer if the course is running in HTML5 mode.
Yep, at present the only way to do this natively is as per James' idea. It's a pain and you'll need a lot of frames if you want to get the movement even remotely smooth.
Just in case you DO want to try something, thought I'd point you to this thread where Jerson and I responded to a similar question recently...if you scroll down you'll see a July 31, 2014 post.

Hope that helps,

Thanks guys
I think for now I will dumb down my expectations and opt for something less elegant.
Much appreciated.
