Multiple choice quiz (multiple questions)

May 24, 2014

Hi. I'm sure the response to this exists already somewhere, but I"m having trouble finding it... if anyone can point me towards an existing tutorial I'd appreciate it!

I am building a multiple choice quiz (6-8 questions) to fit mid-way in the course module. All of the tutorials that I have found only show how to put one question on one slide. How do we link several questions in a series of slides (or better, multiple questions on one slide) and then show the results at then end?

Also, I don't particularly like having a full-size screen dedicated to one question, so I built my series as a lightboxes. This works fine, but I have to add a submit button on the screen. This works fine, but again, i don't know how to show a summary of results at the end.  Also, I'm not sure if this will affect interaction with the LMS.

Thanks for the help!

Hi Sarah,

By default in  Storyline, the set up is one question per slide. There are some ways around that depending on your question type.  You could also include your questions as individual slides one after another or add them to a question bank allowing you to shuffle the questions for each user.

Adding your questions to a lightbox should be ok - but you'll want to ensure you're tracking the questions using a results slide, and using that results slide as your tracking method when you publish.
