I'm having problems with executing triggers in my course. I added a few triggers to one object, among them show layer X and jump to slide Y. Before I added the "show layer" trigger it all worked perfectly, but once I added the "show layer" trigger it stopped jumping to slide Y. Why?
Ordering the triggers (show layer and then jump to slide) didn't help either.
when you trigger the jump to layer and they are on the layer how do they get back to the 'object' to jump to the next slide? Are you using a 'hide layer' trigger to get you back?
After showing layer on clicking or mouse hovered over on button add jump to slide trigger on the layer which is revealed, keep event as timeline starts or ends. whatever suites best.
I've finally made it work :-) but I had to change the object into button. I added all the same triggers and now everything works as it should. Thank you Wendy a lot for your support :)

No, I don't actually jump to the layer. I only show it when user hovers the mouse over the object.

You hover over the button and the layer shows, you click the button and it goes to the next slide.

I'm starting to wonder maybe I have too many triggers on one slide (over 100). Is there any triggers limit?

unfortunately it didn't help.
I don't think there is a limit - but with that many triggers you would need to make sure the order is correct.
